June 18th-25th is Drowning Prevention Week – a national initiative led by the Royal Life Saving Society. An average of 402 people drown accidentally every year in this country. As an Island there are few things more important to our children than water safety.

West Wight Sports & Community Centre is getting behind the campaign and during the week, every child who has a swimming lesson with us will be given a water safety lesson and a certificate to say they have taken part.
