Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –
The Isle of Wight Council (School Green Road, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1900 hours on Tuesday 5 August 2025 until 0600 hours on Wednesday 6 August 2025, or when the works has been completed, School Green Road will be closed between its junctions with Hooke Hill and Brookside Road. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 1 August 2025 and Friday 12 September 2025 the following roads will be closed between either 0600 and 1800 or 1800 and 0600 for a period of approximately one to 15 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance, surfacing, hedging & quartering, lining and cats eyes works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. The Isle of Wight Council (Heathfield Road, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Heathfield Road will be closed for its entire length.
The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – High Street will be closed between its junctions with Avenue Road and Heathfield Road.
The Isle of Wight Council (Silcombe Lane, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Silcombe Lane will be closed between its junctions with Heathfield Road and Arnhem Road.
The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – High Street will be closed for its entire length.
The Isle of Wight Council (Clayton Road, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Clayton Road will be closed for its entire length.
The Isle of Wight Council (Queens Road, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Queens Road will be closed between its junctions with Brookside Road and School Green Road.
The Isle of Wight Council (Upper Princes Road, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Upper Princes Road will be closed for its entire length.
